You know the Cons have made a disastrous mistake when even L. Ian MacDonald can't help but to
criticize them. But let's not MacDonald off the hook for his misplaced focus either: shouldn't it be obvious that the biggest problem with the Cons' choice to gut the census is the fact that it involves a major and destructive change made with absolutely no rational basis, rather than the lack of a communications plan to try to defend that boneheaded move after the fact?
