All for ourselves, and nothing for other people, seems, in every age of the world, to have been the vile maxim of the masters of mankind.

Deep thought
I'm sure it's utterly preposterous to even suggest that it's theoretically possible that the Harper Cons might want to torch public money just for the sake of torching public money.
Holy shit. They didn't just give AECL away. They didn't just "sell" millions and millions worth of assets along with a contract that ends up with the federal government effectively paying $60 million to Lavalin to take AECL off their hands. They added a fresh new $114 million in payments to the reactor division before selling it off. That's millions more than the voted budget for AECL as a whole for the entire year!
In the future, why not skip all these tedious steps and just let SNC-Lavalin or other con-friendly corporations back their dump trucks up against the federal money dispenser. We could even say that any bills that get blown off the dump truck are "trickling down".
